Brewbaker Tech is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Saint James is on an eight-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Brewbaker Tech will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Saint James at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brewbaker Tech has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Brewbaker Tech lost 14-8 to Opelika on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly six runs.

Kaymarria Bandy and Kyra Wallace did some serious damage despite the final result: Bandy went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Wallace scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Bandy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaquayla Jarrett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Saint James got themselves on the board against Alabama Christian Academy on Tuesday, but Alabama Christian Academy never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Eagles.
Not much got past Emily Needham, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Alabama Christian Academy off the board. Needham has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 24 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sydney Johnston was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Darby, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Saint James was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alabama Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .125.
Saint James has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. Brewbaker Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Brewbaker Tech couldn't quite get it done against Saint James in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can Brewbaker Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
