Softball Recap: Queen Creek Has No Trouble Against Red Mountain

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Desert Mountain, Queen Creek was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Red Mountain Mountain Lions with a sharp 12-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Emma Reynolds, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla Schaeffer, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Queen Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Mountain only posted an OBP of .393.

The win got Queen Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Red Mountain, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Queen Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-9 defeat against O'Connor on the 27th. As for Red Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-7 loss against Corona del Sol on the 1st.
