Bountiful has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The RedHawks will face off against the Knights at 3:30 p.m. Bountiful will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
Bountiful's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Viewmont 12-0. The result was nothing new for the RedHawks, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Isabeau Hoff, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Aimee Moore, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Bountiful always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Viewmont only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, Northridge lost 14-3 to Clearfield on Thursday.
Kaydence Chournos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Berklee Larsen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Bountiful's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bountiful hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .384. However, it's not like Northridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bountiful took their win against Northridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-6 score. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
