Rio Mesa is 8-1 against Oak Park since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Rio Mesa will be taking part in a tournament against Oak Park at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rio Mesa has three straight victories, Oak Park has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Rio Mesa beats Oak Park with 13 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Rio Mesa was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Pacifica on Friday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Rio Mesa got a massive performance out of Jazlynn Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaslene Rios, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI.
Rio Mesa lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pacifica didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Oak Park came up short against Royal on Thursday, falling 9-2.
