After flying high against the Ramsey Rams last Thursday, the Dieterich Movin Maroons came back down to earth. Dieterich took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Monday. Dieterich was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Several Movin Maroons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Estella Meinhart, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Miley Britton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Dieterich has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
Dieterich will head out on the road to face off against Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Martinsville at 7:00 p.m.
