Volleyball Recap: Crawford Wins Going Away Against Hoover

Crawford's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hoover Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. While the Colts didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 27-25.

Eh Leh Ber Brown paced Crawford's offense, picking up eight kills. Brown got some help from Adolfo Ventura and his 20 assists. Finally, Nibhan Mohamed kept Crawford's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Crawford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The loss snapped Hoover's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.

Crawford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Mount Miguel on the 28th. As for Hoover, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
