The Coldwater Cavaliers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 58-32 loss at the hands of Crestview. While losing is never fun, Coldwater can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while Crestview is ranked 32nd).
It was another big night for Cali Gregory, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds for Crestview. That makes it five consecutive games in which Gregory has scored at least a third of Crestview's points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Kline, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Coldwater and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Crestview, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coldwater will take on Fort Recovery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Recovery is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Crestview, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Allen East at 7:30 p.m.
