The biggest upset of the week belonged to Surry Central, who defeated 215th ranked North Surry, 28-27.
Carver added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 7 this week by beating Forbush, 57-10. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Yellowjackets.
South Stokes's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JJ Davis threw for 65 yards and Jaquan Martin had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Martin chipped in 92 yards.
The Sauras' dynamic duo of Davis and Martin proved to be unstoppable against West Stokes, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Martin provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Stokes fell to the Wildcats.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, West Stokes' Alex Manley and Ricky Kirchenbauer have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Manley has thrown for 833 yards this season, while Kirchenbauer has 27 catches for 362 yards. Jonathan Frasher's team's Martin leads the league in rushing yards with 1,148.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Carver takes on second place West Stokes.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Jimmy Upchurch's team takes on Carver. The Wildcats have allowed 137 points this season, while Germane Crowell's team has given up 131. West Stokes allowed 15 points last week as it topped the Sauras.
The Falcons lost to the Yellowjackets 57-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jordan Sawyers was a bright spot for Forbush, as he ran for 79 yards and caught 2 passes for 32 yards in the loss.
