In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 win over Red Cloud. This was payback for Exeter-Milligan, who suffered a 37-32 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Red Cloud still got an impressive performance from Avery Fangmeyer, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelynn Minnick, who scored six points.
Exeter-Milligan's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Red Cloud, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Exeter-Milligan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Red Cloud will be playing at home against Rock Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hills is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
