The S & S Consolidated Rams were the 58-54 winner over the Sanger Indians when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. S & S Consolidated was outmatched by Sanger at home and fell 89-44. While losing is never fun, S & S Consolidated can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1207th, while Sanger is ranked 281st).
S & S Consolidated lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Courville, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ricardo Marquez, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
S & S Consolidated bumped their record down to 5-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sanger, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. S & S Consolidated will square off against Paradise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanger will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Aubrey at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
