After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tanque Verde, Tombstone was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves 16-2. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

DJ Elias and Brendan Caballero were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Elias struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Caballero pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Elias has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Elias scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Caballero went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Caballero has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trey Franklin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Koehler, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Tombstone's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Tombstone will take on San Miguel at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.89 runs per game on average), something the Yellow Jackets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will be playing at home against Willcox at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
