West Potomac had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 13-7 to the Washington-Liberty Generals on Monday.
West Potomac got a big performance out of Sabrina Driggers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Garr, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Even though they lost, West Potomac was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington-Liberty only posted a batting average of .346.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Potomac will head out to face off against West Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give West Potomac their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Washington-Liberty, they are taking a road trip to take on Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
