The Flint Hill Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Maret Frogs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Flint Hill has six straight wins, Maret has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Flint Hill beat Trinity Christian 5-1.

Flint Hill got a great performance from Marshall Johnson as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Johnson has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, PJ Lyons was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincenzo Fiorino, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Maret fell victim to Flint Hill and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Huskies. The match marked the first time this season in which the Frogs were not able to get on the board.
Maret saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Spector, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Flint Hill's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Maret, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Maret's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Flint Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Maret, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Flint Hill's hitters?
Flint Hill took their victory against Maret in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
