The St. Vincent's Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over Groves at home. The win was some much needed relief for St. Vincent's as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
St. Vincent's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Ghaleb, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Anna Hines, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
St. Vincent's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Groves, they dropped their record down to 1-21 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road.
St. Vincent's won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calvary Day at 2:03 p.m. on February 3rd. Calvary Day will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something St. Vincent's surely won't give up without a fight. As for Groves, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Groves in Georgia (Johnson is ranked 228th, while Groves is ranked 529th).
