After each having a week off, the Tyngsborough Tigers and the Groton-Dunstable Crusaders will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Tyngsborough is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Tyngsborough and Uxbridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Tyngsborough had to settle for second. Tyngsborough suffered a rough 33-7 defeat at the hands of Uxbridge. Having soared to a lofty 53 points in the game before, Tyngsborough couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, Tyngsborough got a solid performance out of Bryce Goulet, who rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Groton-Dunstable was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 26-22 to Littleton.
The losses dropped Tyngsborough to 7-3 and Groton-Dunstable to 1-9.
Everything came up roses for Tyngsborough against Groton-Dunstable in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tyngsborough since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
