Baseball Recap: Bennington Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Bennington came tearing into Monday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Houston Hill looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Hunter Spencer was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-5. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Schuman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Bennington lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Bennington pushed their record up to 23-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Roncalli Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Bennington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Lincoln Northwest on the 8th. Roncalli Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
