The Sammamish RedHawks stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 80-50 win over Lindbergh at home. This was a revenge contest for Sammamish, as the team was forced to settle for a 66-62 loss when these two played last Saturday.
Sammamish was led to victory by Rakin Showki and Keith Kariuki. Showki scored 19 points, while Kariuki scored 20 points. Showki hasn't dropped below 17 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayan Showki, who scored 12 points.
Sammamish pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.1 points per game. As for Lindbergh, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.
Sammamish will head out on the road to face off against Renton at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Renton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Lindbergh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
