This season hasn't been kind to the Glades Day Gators, who are still winless after their fifth game. They took a serious blow against Seminole Ridge on Friday, falling 63-35. Glades Day lost against Seminole Ridge in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-45 score last time.
Calvin Warren was his usual excellent self, scoring 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals for Seminole Ridge. The match was Warren's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Elliot Petit-Frere was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Glades Day's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Seminole Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glades Day will square off against Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seminole Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seminole Ridge in Florida (Dr. Joaquin Garcia is ranked 305th, while Seminole Ridge is ranked 639th).
