Despite the loss, Riverside had strong showings from Reaghan Mcdaniel, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Zoie Armbruster, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Milton-Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Berberich led the charge by scoring ten points along with six rebounds. Sophie Layman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Riverside bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Milton-Union, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Riverside will head out on the road to challenge Bethel at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bethel has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Milton-Union, they will be playing at home against Lehman Catholic at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lehman Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 550th, while Milton-Union is ranked 193rd).
