Last Friday, Panther Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Apex Friendship, taking the game 59-50.
Chris Uwayo was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Ware, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Cary scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Holly Springs still came out on top. Holly Springs enjoyed a cozy 79-62 win over Cary. Given Holly Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Cary is ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Panther Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Holly Springs, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
