The Fayetteville Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-30 loss at the hands of Thorsby. Fayetteville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thorsby apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Fayetteville got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Taylin Tyndale and
Landon Thomas, who each put up seven points.
Brennon Marlin held things down on the boards with five rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Fayetteville's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11. As for Thorsby, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville will face off against Isabella at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Isabella comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Thorsby and Comer will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Comer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Thorsby in Alabama (Comer is ranked 180th, while Thorsby is ranked 374th).
