Charlton County is 2-8 against Pierce County since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Charlton County Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pierce County Bears at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Charlton County had to settle for a 42-39 defeat against Brantley County.
Despite the loss, Charlton County got a solid performance out of Ja'mari Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Hamilton scored a full 30.8% of Charlton County's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevan Cobb, who scored 8 points.
Pierce County kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 51-36 bruising from Wayne County. Pierce County has not had much luck with Wayne County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Charlton County's win lifted them to 1-1 while Brantley County's loss dropped them down to 4-1.
Charlton County beat Pierce County 61-53 when the teams last played back in January. Will Charlton County repeat their success, or does Pierce County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
