With a big week,
Derby jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Derby moved up from No. 44 in the state all the way to No. four thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. Led by manager JB Nicholson, the Panthers are ranked No. 209 in the nation with an overall record of 6-3.
Maize's
Drew Johnson was the best pitcher in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I this week. He struck out ten batters this week.
The Eagles' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 11 hits and three walks, both of which led the league.
There were three hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Cameron Zane, who collected four hits in six at bats for a .667 average.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to Johnson, who turned in ten Ks for Maize. With 46 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks second in the league.
