It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Notre Dame Fighting Irish ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Byron-Bergen. That's another feather in the cap for Notre Dame, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Notre Dame to victory were Emma Sisson and Sofia Falleti. Sisson scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five steals, while Falleti dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Sisson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Notre Dame now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Byron-Bergen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Notre Dame's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kendall at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Kendall is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Byron-Bergen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Attica at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
