Basketball Recap: Wilde Lake Drops Highest Score of Season Against River Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilde Lake). They strolled past the River Hill Hawks with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 79-65. This was payback for the Wildecats, who suffered a 70-61 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anderson Dang, who posted 13 points and three steals. Those 13 points gave Dang a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justin Bishop, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

Wilde Lake's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for River Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Wilde Lake will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Glenelg on January 3, 2025. As for River Hill, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-57 defeat against Dulaney on the 18th.
