The New Bloomfield Wildcats's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Chamois Pirates on Saturday. New Bloomfield took down Jamestown 65-48. That looming 65-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for New Bloomfield yet this season.
New Bloomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Fuhriman led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Fuhriman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Fouch, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
New Bloomfield's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Jamestown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Bloomfield will be home for the holidays to greet Eugene at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Eugene knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully New Bloomfield likes a good challenge. Jamestown will be home for the holidays to greet Christian Fellowship at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Fellowship is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
