Make it six blowout wins for the Tabernacle Christian Eagles this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Washington Catholic 71-35 at home. Tabernacle Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Tabernacle Christian to victory were Annie Sichting and Liz Southerland. Sichting dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 13 assists, and ten steals, while Southerland scored 37 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Sichting has scored at least a third of Tabernacle Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Hallie Brummett, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Tabernacle Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Washington Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
