In other batting news, Bryce Jones was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Gaines Boyd was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Newton County Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
