Plymouth Whitemarsh added to the longest winning streak in Suburban One - American this week by beating Springfield Township, 27-12. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Colonials.
Norristown lost to Cheltenham 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Rashon Lusane threw for 61 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 29 yards in the loss.
Norristown's dynamic duo of Lusane and Isiash Carter proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Jose Vega provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Plymouth Whitemarsh topped the Spartans. Vega's key target this week was James Rodgers, who caught 2 passes for 26 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Carmen Fortino and Jequan Mitchell, Upper Merion Area has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Fortino is tops in the league in passing with 1,162 yards, while Mitchell has rushed for 1,102 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Dan Chang's team's Rodgers, with 597 yards on 35 catches.
Cheltenham led the league in scoring this week by notching 35 points on EJ Smith's team.
