Western lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northwest, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Panthers never let the Mounties get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won five contests in a row.

DJ VanRiper was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Western is undefeated when VanRiper posts two or more runs, but 4-6-1 otherwise. Jackson Luke was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Western pushed their record up to 7-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Northwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Western will host Harper Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will venture away from home to face off against Pennfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Mounties' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
