The Spring Hill Raiders will square off against the Summertown Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Spring Hill is returning to their home field after beating Eagleville on theirs, despite the fact Eagleville has dominated at home this season. The Raiders walked away with an 8-5 win over the Eagles on Thursday.
Christian Huntzinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Spring Hill got a big performance out of Clay Robinson, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Robinson a new career-high. Gary Cox was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Spring Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagleville only managed nine hits.
Meanwhile, Summertown came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bobcats 12-2. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.
Ryder Blackwood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Elijah Huckaba looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cason Blackwood, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Quint Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Summertown's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Hill, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.
Spring Hill might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Summertown in their previous meeting on Friday. Will the Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
