The Eaglecrest Raptors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 80-13 victory over Brighton at home. Eaglecrest might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 23 points or more this season.
Eaglecrest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Bobb, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bobb scored 15 or more points. Shyann Farbes was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and four steals.
The win (which was Eaglecrest's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaglecrest will face off against Y at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Y focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. Brighton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverdale Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Riverdale Ridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 67.2 points per game.
