Several Nor'easters players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendall Miller, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Miller's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bela Cucuta, who scored 28 points.
Even though they lost, Newington were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Sacred Heart Academy's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.09 points. As for Newington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Newington will finish 2023 at home by hosting Hamden at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamden has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three contests.
