Parkland hasn't had much luck against East Forsyth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Parkland's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Parkland got the win against R.J. Reynolds by a conclusive 19-3. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by 12 runs or more this season.
Ariana Little was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and one double while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Carter, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases.
Parkland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .844. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as R.J. Reynolds only posted an OBP of .429.
Walkertown typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday East Forsyth proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Wolfpack 2-0. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly two runs.
Walkertown's batters probably weren't too happy with Allie Cox, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up a single walk). Cox has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, East Forsyth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Hamilton, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those two doubles gave Hamilton a new career-high.
Parkland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for East Forsyth, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9.
Parkland might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from East Forsyth in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
