The Marshall Christian Academy Guardians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 52-29 defeat at the hands of Westwood.
Marshall Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melody Hester, who scored 9 points. Hester scored a full 31% of Marshall Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Macy Hester was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Marshall Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall Christian Academy will take on Word of God Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Word of God Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Westwood, they will be playing at home against Teague at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
