Basketball Game Preview: Mansfield Timberview Wolves vs. Everman Bulldogs

Mansfield Timberview has gone 9-0 against Everman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Both will meet in a canine-themed contest at 12:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mansfield Timberview is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mansfield Legacy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 69-62 to the Broncos.

Mansfield Timberview's loss came about despite a quality game from Dani Milliner, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 18 points. Milliner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Ar'Mya Amos-Horsley was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Mansfield Timberview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Everman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 37-31 to Lamar.

Mansfield Timberview's record now sits at 14-10. As for Everman, their record is now 9-8.

Everything came up roses for Mansfield Timberview against Everman when the teams last played back in January of 2022, as the team secured a 66-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mansfield Timberview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
