Hailey Lack was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with six RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, Lilly Barham was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Payton Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Deep Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Granby came out on top against Manor on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run fourth inning. The Comets put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 16-1 victory.
Like Deep Creek, Granby also got a great game from a two-way player: Aj Lomogda. On the mound, Lomogda struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Meanwhile, Anwynn Williams pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Lomogda went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Williams went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Williams is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Meghan Boring was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Wood, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Deep Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Granby, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Deep Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Granby struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
