Basketball Recap: HALO's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

HALO won the last time they faced Providence Classical Christian, and Trenton Grissom did his part to make sure it happened again. The HALO Wolfpack really took it to the Providence Classical Christian Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-42 win thanks in part to Grissom, who went 13 of 22 on his way to 31 points along with eight boards and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Haynes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

HALO's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Providence Classical Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

HALO will square off against Hills Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hills Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Providence Classical Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Providence Classical Christian likes a good challenge.
