The Adams City Eagles waltzed into their game  on Thursday with three straight wins  but they left with four. They walked away with  a   44-37  win over Thornton. That's another feather in the cap for Adams City, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Adams City's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Morgan Williams, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds and three  steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last eight times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Fernanda Hernandez, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds.
 Thornton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Julionna Sandoval, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds. Sandoval also  posted two  blocks for the first time this season.  Araya Williams was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Adams City has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Thornton,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adams City won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 6:00  p.m.  on January 26th. As for Thornton, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Northglenn on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Northglenn is ranked 234th, while Thornton is ranked 250th).
