The Poway Titans will face off against the La Costa Canyon Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Friday, Poway didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Carmel and fell 3-2.
Poway took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 15-5.

Poway might have lost, but man, Abby Kroepel was a machine: she had 23 digs and four aces. Kroepel has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. Mia Richardson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Meanwhile, La Costa Canyon came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Sundevils 3-0.
One reason for the win was La Costa Canyon's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.
Poway better focus on containing Presley Thompson and Olivia Lee as the pair were huge in La Costa Canyon's win. Thompson had nine digs and two aces, while Lee had ten assists and four digs.
La Costa Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive contests.
Poway's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for La Costa Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 23-11.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's matchup: Poway has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.9 aces per game. However, it's not like La Costa Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
