The Montclair Mounties lost against the Millburn Millers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Montclair fell 64-54 to Millburn.
Zach Benmorits continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millburn, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds. Chase Plotkin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Montclair's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Millburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Montclair will head out on the road to take on Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Montclair is ranked 129th). As for Millburn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glen Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glen Ridge is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
