Baseball Recap: True North Classical Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Okeechobee last Friday, True North Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the Chaminade-Madonna Lions by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since April 30, 2024.

True North Classical Academy got a good showing from William Foss, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Foss has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Matias Fischer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Jayden Cedeno was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

True North Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

True North Classical Academy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Miami Beach at 4:00 p.m. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will face off against Cardinal Gibbons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Chiefs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
