Mitchell found their leader in underclassman Kreed Chaney, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chaney has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Waymond Banks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Mitchell and bumps their season record up to 12-7. As for Gordon-Rushville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Mitchell won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Kimball is ranked 128th, while the Tigers are ranked 116th).
