Volleyball Recap: Marist's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marist had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals.

Marist's offense was headlined by Henley Blackburn and Cora Thomas #16, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Katie Elder and her 14 assists. Molly Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. Michael Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Marist and St. Michael Catholic will both be playing Pelham the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
