Bishop had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Orange Grove Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Makenzie Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Amanda Muniz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Ramirez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Bishop always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orange Grove only posted an OBP of .176.

Bishop pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Orange Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13-1 record this season.

Bishop wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 win against London on the 17th. As for Orange Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Santa Gertrudis Academy on the 17th.
