Basketball Recap: Fort Frye Sets Scoring Season-High Against St. Marys

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Frye). They blew past the St. Marys Blue Devils 66-44 on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cadets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 534th in Ohio, while the Blue Devils are ranked 30th in West Virginia).

With the win, Fort Frye broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for St. Marys, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Fort Frye and Tyler will round out the year against one another at on Friday. As for St. Marys, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wahama at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
