Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Makenzie Jones and Sedona Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Jones scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3, while Hernandez went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Jones has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rylen Buchberger, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Canyon View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 14 consecutive contests.
Canyon View pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.8 runs over those games. As for Desert Edge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Desert Edge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Canyon View struggles in that department as they've averaged .593. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
