The Lincoln Northwest Falcons will be playing at home against the Mercy Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Northwest has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Thursday, Lincoln Northwest was beaten by the Bluejays 58-29. While losing is never fun, Lincoln Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bluejays are ranked 32nd).
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you make six more threes than your opponent, a fact Mercy proved on Saturday. They secured a 41-37 W over Concordia.
Mercy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madisyn Grzebielski led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Melina Nelson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Lincoln Northwest's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Mercy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
