Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Mizzell, who shot 55% from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daivon Glover, who posted 20 points and five assists.
Jaquayvion Gilmore went supernova For Bible Baptist Christian., dropping a double-double with 22 points and 22 rebounds. The game was Gilmore's third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Ranew, who put up 21 points and five boards.
Bible Baptist Christian now has a winning record of 2-1.
Bible Baptist Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-53 defeat against Westminster Schools of Augusta on the 18th. Hopefully Patrick Henry Academy paid attention to the Wolves' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
