The West Oso Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Ingleside with a sharp 53-31 victory on Tuesday. The win was just what West Oso needed coming off of a 68-48 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Jae'la Hicks, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Bella Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
West Oso's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Ingleside, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
West Oso will be home for the holidays to greet Orange Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 939th, while West Oso is ranked 313th). As for Ingleside, they will head out on the road to face off against Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
